Renaissance Benefit Advisors was founded in 1996 by Richard Scarborough. Renaissance has provided human resources and Employee Benefit Solutions for small, medium, and large-sized businesses who wanted to manage their risks predominately in the “Fully Insured” Market.
Since inception, we have offered a wide range of competitive HR, payroll, tax and benefits administration solutions from a single source; in 2012 we completely changed our business model along with our dba “Renaissance Employer Solutions.” While we still offer these services, our primary focus turned to Self-Funded Medical Captives and Direct Primary Care Contracting.
March 23rd 2010, the day the PPACA was signed into law, became a “game changer” not just for Employers, but for their consultants as well.
Richard then created a Medical Captive division within the agency that focused primarily on the cost drivers (high dollar claims) that were, ultimately, impacting high rate increases for employers. Richard partnered with National TPA’s, Provider Technology Managers and Cost Containment Vendors to substantially reduce the cost of insurance to his clients while, at the same time, enhancing their Employee Benefits Program.
In 2013, Bryn Scarborough joined Renaissance after creating an ACA Compliance Software Program with a focus primarily on the Hospitality & Construction Industry. Due to PPACA guidelines Employers were required to establish a measurement period, “track” variable hour employees & file the documentation with the IRS. Bryn has been featured in multiple print and online publications regarding her PPACA Software Program as well as a guest speaker on Sirius Patriot Channel 125 in 2016.
In 2017, Renaissance has further expanded our breadth of services to include Renaissance Primary Care, LLC. This division works with Providers (Primary & Specialty) to contract directly with Employers to maximize savings while enhancing their employees’ physician benefits & overall experience with minimal cost.
The most exciting venture to date is the opening of our CareHere Primary Care & Wellness Facility July 1st 2018. This Primary Care Office is available exclusively to Employers who join for a monthly fee (per employee per month). Employers and their Employees can experience receiving Primary Physician Care, Lab work, Pharmaceutical needs & Wellness in one location.
